Sacked due to the 'expenses row' - but not the MP's !

Poweromics Lite - A civil servant is sacked for criticizing an MP for switching their home (to avoid capital gains tax) ... whilst the MP concerned, along with all the other MP's doing this, have kept their jobs ... ! What does this tell us about the MP's we have and the 'state' we live in ?
